A few notes and a kind of announcement


The game is now really getting close to the first public release, that is, first release of the remake. In concept the game is done, and more and more stability issue disappear like snow under the sun (as we say in Dutch).

It's too early to make an ETA yet, but it appears that before fall becomes a realistic target.



Now in the meantime some ideas for Star Story II sprung to mind, and the first playable character even got her first concept art.
Here she is....

I won't tell you her name yet, but I can tell you a few things.
She's not the main protagonist, but the bodyguard of the main protagonist, and also the only human of the group, at least in the concept the way it is now. She has just graduated from the M.E.T.E.O.R. academy after she made her teachers' lives into major hell, yet she graduated suma cum laude (much to her teachers' chagrin). She always acts pretty carefree, and it's hard to take her seriously, yet, when stuff needs to be done, she does it, and she does it well. 
Gameplay wise I planned her to be the party's powerhouse. So she may not be the fastest character, and she may also not be the one who can hit the enemies in their weaknesses, but her brute strength should speak for itself.

It's not yet a promise Star Story II will be made, as the concept is only in a preparational state and the synopsis is actually all I have now, and loads of parts still need to be set in order. I also have a few other projects planned. It may still be a long time before the first line of code may be written for this one (well, code as in scripting, as I am planning to re-use the Apollo engine I used for the remake of Star Story I).
